Famous couple Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik took to social media by surprise after they announced the name of their daughter, Khai, four months after they welcomed her into the world. Gigi had taken her Instagram hand to name her young daughter to the world by changing her IG Bio. While there has been a lot of excitement and profanity about the newborn’s sexual name, the reason Zayn and Gigi chose their daughter ‘Khai’ was finally named.

Gigi Hadid’s daughter’s name revealed!
After giving birth to her and their baby girl Zayn Malik back in September 2020, Gigi Hadid had announced their daughter’s name after she was four months old. However, the meaning of her daughter’s name, ie Khai, was unknown until now. A source close to the supermodel recently revealed the reason behind Zayn and Gigi’s decision to name their munchkin ‘Khai’ HollywoodLife.
The source told the online portal that Gigi decided to name her daughter Khai in honor of her grandmother. To the unchanged, Khairaiah was the name of her father Mohamed’s mother. Khair is the middle name of Bella Hadid and as such, it has become a family custom for them in a way to honor the grandmother of her lover. In addition, the source also revealed that Gigi’s grandmother belonged to royal descent, naming her daughter Khai was perfect as the meaning of Zayn’s last name ‘King’.

In addition, it was revealed that announcing their daughter’s name on January 21, 2021, was apparently also important to Gigi and Zayn. The source added that January 21st was important to publish Khai’s name as it is considered to be a lucky day due to being a palindrome. The calendar numbers 12121, if written numerically, remain the same when read back. For that reason, it seemed like the perfect date for the love birds to share their daughter’s name with the world.

Shortly after the girl’s birth, Zayn Malik’s father was the first to break the good news to everyone through his Instagram treatment. Sharing a black and white photo of the new baby holding his finger on Instagram, Zayn wrote, “Our young girl is here, healthy and beautiful … it would be impossible to try to put into words how I feel right now. The love I feel for this tiny little man is beyond my comprehension. Grateful to know her, proud to call her, and thankful for the life we will have together x. “
