What places will open today?

Gyms and studios, cultural and sports events, pre-registered prayer houses, hotels without dining rooms and swimming pools will operate according to the green label (for the vaccinated and recovering only). Entrants will need to present the traffic light app or a vaccinator certificate. The malls, markets and street shops will be open to the whole population in terms of the purple mark, as well as the museums and libraries.

How do I issue a green card?

From today, it will be possible to issue the green sign in three main channels: downloading the “traffic light” app; Printing the green sign on the “traffic light” website of the Ministry of Health; As well as in human / automated call centers. The green mark will include a digital signature and will not be temporary. In the next two weeks, it will be possible to present the vaccinator’s certificate instead of a green mark.

Will every business be charged with its green daughter?

No. The Ministry of Health has no way of requiring the green mark to be enforced by small businesses and therefore the green mark will not be used except in accordance with the customary guidelines of the purple mark.

What is displayed at the entrance to a business?

The customer will display the green sign next to an ID card. Another option is to scan the green mark using the traffic light app and see it (the scan itself will only be done by the “traffic light” app of the Ministry of Health).

What will be the sanctions for violators of the green label?

These sanctions have not yet been formulated. According to reports, the Ministry of Health is formulating an outline for imposing fines for violators of the green label outline. People who enter places that will be opened without being vaccinated or recovered will be fined NIS 500. Business owners will be fined NIS 5,000

What are the restrictions on the malls?

The malls will operate within the framework of the purple mark, which will also apply to street shops, markets, museums and libraries. These activities will be open to the entire population.

The places that will be opened in accordance with the purple mark will work according to the strict guidelines that applied before the closure. In public areas it will be confirmed that you were one person for every 15 square meters. The small shops will operate at a ratio of one person for seven square meters and up to ten people. In stores larger than 150 square meters, the maximum occupancy will be in the ratio of one person to 15 square meters and without limiting the number of occupants. It will not be possible to eat and drink in the malls.

What about restaurants?

The restaurants and cafes at this stage will not yet be open for seating, but for takeaway and deliveries only. On March 7, when they open for seating to the customer public, 60 percent occupancy will be allowed in open spaces and 40 percent in closed spaces.

Will there be restrictions on public transportation?

All lines operate, but within a certain occupancy. The conditions for removing the restrictions have not yet been decided.

When will the whole economy return to activity?

In two weeks all businesses are due to open to the general public, but still with restrictions and in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Some businesses open as part of the green label and some as part of the purple label.

What will be the restrictions on Purim?

In the meantime, houses of worship will be opened under restrictions and there will be no processions. The government and the Ministry of Health are exploring options to impose additional restrictions ahead of the holiday.

What will be the restrictions on Passover?

The Corona commissioner, Prof. Nachman Ash, told the media that they may impose restrictions on Passover, in addition to the restrictions expected on Purim. “I hope we can celebrate Seder night among the family more freely.”
