Speaking about the acclaimed film Out Of Sight, which he starred in after Batman & Robin, George said: ‘It had been a year, I was killed for making Batman & Robin and I understood for the first time, because completely honestly when I got Batman & Robin I was just an actor getting a acting job and I was excited to play Batman.

‘What I realized later was that I was going to be in charge of the film itself, not just my performance or what I was doing.

‘So I knew I had to focus on better scripts, the most important thing was the script.

‘You can’t make a good film out of a bad script, it’s impossible. You can make a bad movie out of a good script. ‘

Batman & Robin was written by Akiva Goldsman, directed by Joel Schumacher and co-starred the likes of Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl, Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze.

George has hit the film frequently – even advising Ben Affleck, who played the hero in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and then two other films, to steer clear of the role.

His new project is The Midnight Sky, which he has also directed.

In the recording, he plays the scientist Augustine Lofthouse who is among the survivors of Earth after an unknown catastrophe destroying most of the planet’s population.

Speaking about the role, and his status as one of Hollywood ‘s main hearts, he said:’ Midnight Sky … I have this long beard and I look very old! ‘

He also emphasized the future of cinema – an industry that is thriving thanks to COVID-19.

‘I know this panic is about cinemas because our governments don’t look after them, which is a big business issue,’ he said. ‘We’re subsidizing oil companies, we could subsidize the theaters for a while.
