Beatrice Bouchard has opened her friendship with Eugenie’s sister twin, saying the tennis star is “almost a stranger” to her.

Eugenie and Beatrice grew up after their parents separated when they were just 10.

After the separation Eugenie stayed with their mother Julie while Beatrice lived with their father Michel.

Speaking about how the separation affected her relationship with Eugenie ‘s twin, Beatrice said that she barely sees her sister and doesn’t really know her.

“It’s very funny. I know someone in the grocery store better than my twin sister, ”admitted the 26-year-old.

“We are certainly not a simple, happy, perfect family.

“Even anything but that. Our parents were separated, they were not happy together.

“Genie has been with my mum for most of her life ever since.

“Me, our sisters Charlotte and William with my dad. So we grew up apart. ”

Beatrice said her parents’ marriage breakup put a lot of pressure on the family.

“The situation caused a great deal of tension,” she said.

“Especially between me, Charlotte, Will and my mum, as well as between Genie and our dad.

“It’s still like this today, it’s not perfect. I have only seen her twice a year since we were 10 years old.

“So there are people in the supermarket closer to her than her twin sister. It’s crazy. She is almost a stranger to me. ”

Beatrice said she was always asked why she did not follow her sister on the tennis trip and was rarely ever seen supporting her at games.

“Ah, I went to school! And I have life too, ”she said.

“And B, who should have paid for that? Genie didn’t pay for it. And that is a good example.

“People may be thinking: take your sister, she’ll take you everywhere.

“No, my sister didn’t take me anywhere.

“And when I wanted to see her play at Wimbledon, she said: Okay, come watch me play, buy your ticket and come.”

The fall of Eugenie Bouchard from grace

Bouchard is one of the most critical players in tennis, with fans and trolls constantly celebrating her social media activity as to why she has seen such a dramatic decline.

The World No.5 and Wimbledon semi-finals have fallen in the rankings in recent years, currently sitting at 141.

On Tuesday she lost in the second round of qualifying for the Australian Open and will not play at the tournament where she exploded on the scene in 2014.

Many cite her social media activity as a reason she has not performed on the court, but Bouchard says that is far from the truth.

The trolling got so bad Bouchard recently admitted that she has stopped posting bikini photos online because of the backlash.

“I don’t value the views of people out there just judging what I put out there,” Bouchard said in an interview with tennis.com recently.

“And I really try to stop posting bikini photos, I do. Apparently if you post that, it means you are not playing tennis or something.

“It has had a huge impact on how I work. Maybe I’m just getting more mature and I’m like, ‘Look, I’m not going to post butt pictures every day.’
