Ajay Devgn has started shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali Gangubai Kathiawadi’s film. The actress joined Alia Bhatt, who plays the title role, on the film’s set on Saturday. Sharing a photo from the film set, starring Bhansali and Devgn, Bhansali Productions wrote on Twitter, “We are delighted that @ajaydevgn is joining the #GangubaiKathiawadi ❤️ team”
Ajay Devgn worked with Bhansali 22 years ago in the famous 1999 event Hum Dil De Chuke hit Sanam. The film also featured Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan. Devgn wrote about the role of Aishwarya Vanraj’s husband in the romantic drama.
Kathiawadi Gangubai Teasair released on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday. It received a good response from the audience and from the Bollywood industry. While Karan Johar called the teaser ‘brilliant’, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra feared for Alia’s performance there. Kathubwadi Gangubai is based on one of the chapters of Hussain Zaidi ‘s famous author Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Dr Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios), the film is ready to go to the cinema halls on July 30th.
