Galit Distel-Atbrian, the Likud’s new armored vehicle, spoke this morning (Thursday) here on Net B about the petition of media adviser Ronen Tzur to the Election Commission, according to which she should be disqualified for inciting racism following her past statements on social media, including “the more intelligent Ashkenazi man than “80% of the human population.” Distell Aterbian explained: “I quoted one of the most famous studies at Harvard. They took the quote, which in general concerns freedom of expression, cut it and made people think I was researching.”
Asked about the surplus agreement signed between the Likud and the Religious Zionist Party, she replied: “If you ask me if the values of the democratic and liberal state will be harmed because of the combination of Ben Gvir’s technical bloc – then the answer is no. Listen, he will not be in government, he will be in coalition.”
Asked if she believes in the Israeli courts, she replied that “I think the justice system needs reform. I think the picture is complex and therefore my answer is complex. I currently see what comes out of the preliminary phase of Netanyahu’s cases, and terrible things are coming out there. “I will examine the judges’ decisions, I am currently examining them and I think they are behaving properly. The one who is really on trial is Mandelblit and not Netanyahu.”
Later, she was surprised when she said that “my partner is voting for the joint list, I live with leftists and love them,” and joked: “But if he goes one step further left he will fall off a cliff.”
As you may recall, about a week ago, Distel was ranked 10th on the Likud list for the 24th Knesset. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video he shot with Distell that “Galit is a powerful female force. She is an independent woman, a woman who does not hesitate to express her opinions, a woman who comes from the people, knows the people, the self-employed and small businesses, but above all believes in the national idea. Galit is sure that you will have very great achievements as a Member of Knesset in the Likud and above all – help us now to achieve our great goal – a full-fledged right-wing government. ” The author thanked Netanyahu and noted: “I am excited in a way that is difficult to describe in words.”
