“Full of Rats”: KPS fans against Levita

Beginning of an article

Since Hapoel Kfar Saba qualified for the Premier League, the team from Sharon has been playing for the second year in a stadium that does not belong to it, the Moshava Stadium, while the old Levita Stadium is expected to be renovated by the municipality. Today (Wednesday) the fans of the team stood up in protest against the renovation and demanding the construction of a new stadium worthy of the Premier League and dozens of fans are expected to come to protest at the council meeting to be held tonight.

“The Green Artery,” the team’s fans’ organization shouts: “It is likely that every football fan who won a visit to the legendary Levita Stadium did not return with a positive experience. The facility is old and rusty, needs binoculars or a telescope to see a player burning the right wing. “The field for the stands has been out of use since before most of us were born. Not to mention the toilets with the rats, dilapidated stairs, a dripping roof, the queues at the entrance, traffic jams at the exit. What did we ask for?

“The Kfar Saba municipality came with good intentions and wants to renovate the stadium, but only a cosmetic renovation to be happy – building TV broadcast towers. “Strange broadcast that looks like aliens have landed in Kfar Saba. The concrete monster Kfar Sabait needs to be destroyed – build a small, home-made grandstand.”

A petition launched by the team’s fans read: “It can be noted in light of the proposed plan that the municipality’s solution is nothing more than a band-aid that will cut the city and the team’s fans many more years of shame at this huge concrete elephant called Levita Stadium. “We are unable to build a stadium and facilities worthy of the future generation that is still stuck 24/7 in front of the screens. We call on the Kfar Saba municipality to recover, get out of the box and find a better solution that will benefit the fans and the team and improve the city’s appearance.”

The Kfar Saba Municipality stated: “Kfar Saba Stadium is on our agenda, but at a time when Israel is in an economic crisis and there is no stable government in Israel for a long time, its establishment, at an estimated cost of NIS 150 million, will only be possible with government assistance. Significant than that offered today. In doing so, the issue of land ownership must be resolved with the Israel Land Authority. ”
