Fortnite update changes skin to “Pay-to-Win” charge after player harassment

Fortnite’s new update has removed tricky color combinations for the pay-to-win skin, which puts players in black clothing that almost disappears in the shadows.

Fortnite players showed how impossible it was to see this skin when it went down in the dark. This strategy became widespread and worrying enough that many players took to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction with this skin and the benefits it brought to customers.

Fortnite takes steps to address problems

It is good that Fortnite has taken the time to address these issues. The initial success of the game came almost entirely because Fortnite was one of the few that was free to play games that offered no significant paid benefits. Obviously, as well as being a well-built game of its own.

Given the extent to which Epic creates content for Fortnite, it is inevitable that a special skin and other paid content will at least give some benefit to players who purchase them. The easiest course of action for the developers behind Fortnite is to consider these as an appropriate loss and move on as soon as possible.

In this case, however, the leadership behind Fortnite decided that it would be better to let these problems continue to maintain the quality of their game. This shows, at the very least, that Epic is willing to listen to the Fortnite community and respond when they make a mistake, which will adversely affect the play experience.

Some Fortnite players obviously bought this skin to take advantage

The biggest problem with paid content that offers a competitive advantage is that it creates a situation among players where they feel their options are to buy that content for maintenance, or assume that there will be more time. their hard to play.

Given that many players could obviously buy the skin for that reason, it seems unfair to them that this skin has lost the very feature they bought.

While it may be embarrassing to ignore these players or claim that they shouldn’t have bought something to take advantage of, that would alienate a large portion of their audience.

Instead, any Fortnite players who do not want to keep this skin can request a refund and return the full cost to them. This seems to be the best way to handle it, as Fortnite has now handled the pay-to-win part of the game, without penalizing players who spent money on it.
