Fortnite Trick makes “Pay-to-Win” skin

Fortnite players are always looking for new ways to eliminate subtle kills, and sometimes it means finding ways to blend in with what’s around you. Some “pay-to-win” skins offer players the ability to do just that, and the Breakpoint skin is the latest discovery. The skin is like a hologram, which comes in very handy in Kit’s Cantina’s new range on the map. Using the Emote of the skin, players can sync with the local hologram. As soon as careless victims start to walk past, they can be picked up before they become smarter! The find appears to have been made by korc1e on TikTok, and is also covered by climbers like SypherPK.

A SypherPK video showing the capability can be found below.

Fortnite fans have to debate amongst themselves whether the skin’s ability to try players technically counts as “paying to win.” That said, it’s easy to see how it could benefit some users, especially if they find out how they can sync things properly. Of course, as more players start using Breakpoint ‘s ability in Kit’ s Cantina, others are likely to catch on. Breakpoint users may now be able to resolve some easy kills, but it could leave them vulnerable if they let the guard down too much. Of course, in the korc1e video, the viewer will see the player almost captured!

Epic Games tends to make quick changes when skin is considered “pay-to-win.” After all, games like Fortnite need a level playing field to keep players invested, no matter how much some are willing to spend. It remains to be seen whether the developer will make changes to Breakpoint or not, as more players will start taking advantage of this little trick, but it is certainly possible. For now, those who have discovered this trick will want to take advantage while they can. But for those who plan to use it, just be aware that players are starting to catch on.

Fortnite currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can check out all our previous broadcasts of the game here.
