Former ‘I’m Mac’ actor Justin Long Throws Shade at Apple Silicon M1 in Intel ‘s new Ad Campaign

Intel has called on the services of former “I’m a Mac” actor Justin Long in a series of new ads in which the latest M1 processors made according to Apple have been added as little as computers- newer laptops powered by Intel processors.

He is best known for his role in Apple’s popular 2000s TV ad campaign “Get a Mac”, long stars in a series of ads called “Justin Gets Real” on Intel’s YouTube channel, beginning each video with introducing himself as “… a Justin – just a real man making a real comparison between a Mac and a PC.”

In one ad, Long promotes the versatility of Windows laptops, most notably the Lenovo Yoga 9i versus MacBook Pro. In another video, Long meets a PC user game on an MSI Gaming Stealth 15M laptop, powered by an Intel Core i7. Long then calls for a Mac, before quickly agreeing with the PC user that “no one is playing on a Mac.”

Other announcements include a long throw screen on behalf of Intel towards the lack of an Apple touchscreen Mac, the inability to plug more than one external display into ‌M1‌ Macs, and the various options available. are available for laptops with Intel.

Intel embarked on a similar marketing campaign in February with a series of tweets highlighting the “shortcomings” of Apple’s ‌M1‌ Macs compared to Intel-powered computers. In November, Apple released its first Apple Silicon and is expected to switch its entire line away from Intel over the next year or two.

This isn’t the first time Long has appeared in advertising campaigns for Apple competitors. In 2017, the actor played in a series of Huawei ads promoting the company’s Mate 9 smartphone.
