Another week has passed and the handball league is still disabled due to the closure and unlike the football and basketball leagues. The Handball Association had to announce to the teams on Thursday afternoon that the game round scheduled for tomorrow will probably be postponed to Monday, even before the government’s decision to extend the closure this weekend. The union understood that the sports and health ministries did not intend to exclude the league, despite the High Court submitting the matter.
In this situation, and the desire of the teams to know whether to prepare and hold a concluding training before a game, it was decided to postpone (this after such training was postponed at the last minute in the last two weeks). As well as the fact that a verified player was discovered at Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ness Ziona during the day, and the players were required to undergo corona tests according to the outline, in order to return to activity and answers were not expected before tomorrow – which meant that both teams’ games were postponed.

“Instead of deviating from the senior handball leagues as they did with football and basketball, they continue to treat handball and other sports as the stepson. “And do not make an early decision to allow a return to the games this weekend,” the union said.
