Mayweather is still showcasing his skills in show hits, with YouTuber Logan Paul ready to share the ring with the multi-weight world champion in February.

But can any of America’s top talent come close to matching Mayweather’s festivities and achievements?

Carl Froch

Gervonta Davis. It has a flashy style and can bang too. Davis has that defensive skill, but it’s also interesting because he’s offensive as well.

I think he has a bit of a Naseem Hamed about it. Davis has gained that confidence, with a bit of anguish, which is not always a bad thing when it comes to entertainment.

Adam Smith

I know people go for Shakur Stevenson and others, but the one for me is Vergil Ortiz Jr. I’ve loved it from the very beginning. I think it’s a special talent and I really expect it to come through in 2021.

There are scenes, and I mean just scenes of Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Mikey Garcia. He has excellent skills, incredible density, and power.

I think Golden Boy and Oscar De La Hoya have got a proper jewel on their hands in Ortiz Jr. I’m not saying he could replace Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, but he could certainly do some great things next year.

Johnny Nelson

I think it’s impossible to fill Mayweather’s shoes. Floyd Mayweather will never go again, as he had something that had fascinated him since he was young with family. Even now, he still lives in the gym more than most professional wrestlers do.

You have a lot of imitators. I think Devin Haney is good, but I do not consider him as they say he is the next Floyd Mayweather. I’m not just. I don’t feel it, I don’t see it.

Mata Macklin

I believe that people are saying that Devin Haney is the heir to the throne of Floyd Mayweather, but I think that that is a little premature. It definitely looks the part and it’s definitely talented, but that’s a bold statement, so we’ll have to wait and see.

Ryan Garcia is also talented, has a great distance, and has certainly become a personality and marketing expert. If his ability fits that, we’ll see. That fight against Luke Campbell will tell us a lot, because personally, Luke Campbell is my favorite in that fight.

The last time we thought someone was going to succeed Floyd Mayweather, we talked about Adrien Broner, and watched what happened to him. Forgetting about the ‘next Mayweather’, there may be the ‘next stars’.

Smart-style and capable-capable, perhaps Shakur Stevenson. The way it boxes is made for longevity. But the only problem for Stevenson is that if he wants to break out into the mainstream, people may not give him his pure boxing shows, instead of a few interesting tears.

Teofimo Lopez, he is inspiring, he can make a punch, and he showed against Vasiliy Lomachenko that he can make a box too. For a true star, and one who has got the qualities he needs, the full package is probably Lopez. But real boxing, maybe Shakur Stevenson.

Anndra Clarke

The closest I can think of is Devin Haney. He and his father have gone about their business in the style of Mayweather. They moved to Las Vegas, specifically to seek his advice on how everything should be done.

He has ‘Devin Haney TV’ and the rest. It’s very similar to Mayweather, the way they do it.

It’s really good too. He has the talent and skills to strengthen him.
