Five asteroids fly close to the ground, with two images more than unity

Even though 2020 is a sad past and we have reasons to be optimistic for 2021, we are not quite out of the woods just in terms of COVID-19.

And while location-based threats are always under investigation, NASA is Center for Near-Earth Object Studies has issued a warning about five asteroids that are about to fly close to Earth on 6 January. They are not expected to hit the ground in any way, so don’t worry.

These asteroids are classified as Things close to Earth because they are closer to Earth than 7.5 million kilometers (19.5 times the distance between the Earth and the Moon) and are also larger than 150 meters.

Of the five asteroids approaching land, three are smaller in size and pose a low risk, however, two of these asteroids larger than the 182-meter Unity Image. The two largest asteroids are: 2016 CO247, which is 340 meters large and travels at a speed of 60,228 kilometers per hour and Asteroid 332446 (2008 AF4) which is 495 meters large and travels at a speed of 39,564 kilometers per hour. hour.

If you are curious to know what would happen if even one of the two fell to Earth, the impact would be in the range of 23 to 50 megatons – as big as a nuclear bomb explosion.

The other three asteroids are much smaller: Asteroid Asteroid 2021 AJ which is about 73.5 square meters and travels at a top speed of 50, 652 kilometers per hour, Asteroid 2021 AJ which is 19.5 meters in diameter and travels at a speed of 45, 648 kilometers per hour and an asteroid 2018 KP1 which is 41 meters large and flies at a speed of 15,948 kilometers per hour.
