First publication: All El Al air crews have been vaccinated

The future of the aviation industry: El Al is the first airline in the world to have all its employees who come into contact with passengers vaccinated. These are flight attendants, security personnel, pilots and any employee who comes into contact with passengers, according to the information we receive.

The company doctor accompanied the process, so that in a very short period of time lasting a few weeks, all employees who come into contact with passengers were vaccinated and the company continues to encourage the immunization process even of employees who do not come into contact with passengers.

All EL AL employees were vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine through the HMOs. The company did not encounter any difficulties on the part of the employees who understood the importance of the vaccines both following contact with customers and also to make them feel safe during the flight. It is important to emphasize that although El Al encouraged the company’s employees to be vaccinated, there were no conditions or requirements on the part of the company’s management.
The Etihad airline, which has already operated several flights to Israel and was scheduled to start operating next month on direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Ben Gurion Airport, also announced that it has almost completed the vaccination process for all its employees.

All employees of the company from Abu Dhabi were vaccinated with the vaccine of the Chinese company Sinofarm, which is widely used in the United Arab Emirates, the country that vaccinated with the highest percentages in the world after Israel. In the United Arab Emirates, about 47 servings were given per 100 citizens on average, in Israel the index stands at 69 servings per 100 citizens on average.

“To fight the virus and to make all our passengers feel safe, we have vaccinated all of our air crews and the vaccine is available to all of our airline employees,” said Tony Douglas, a senior official at Abu Dhabi.

Etihad reports that at least 75% of the company’s employees have already received at least the first dose of the vaccine. The Dubai-based Emirates company is also already offering all its employees the option of getting vaccinated with Chinese Sinopharm or Pfizer vaccines.
