Mankind has not yet stepped on Mars, but a future home on the Red Planet has just sold out.

Mars House, the world’s first NFT (non-fungible token) digital home, was recently sold for more than $ 500,000.

The virtual structure was sent as a 3D file to the buyer’s Metaverse by creator Kirsten Kim, who said that he designed it during coronavirus infection to create a ‘healing feeling’ using his Digital Zen philosophy. ‘

The Mars House is furnished with glassware and warm clothing and includes a dining, sitting and sleeping area, along with a flowing Infinity pool.

The home appears to sit at the top of a mountain on the Red Planet, offering residents stunning views of the Martian landscape.

NFTs, sometimes pronounced as ‘nifties’, are similar to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum in that they reside on blockchain networks – a distributed, distributed ledger that records digital asset transactions.

But unlike traditional cryptocurrencies, NFTs are non-fungible, meaning that one cannot exchange for another. The digital assets have a collective value, and can produce products including still images, GIFs, videos, music and more.

And Kim gets into the action by selling her NFT Mars House for $ 514,557.79.

The buyer received 3D files for upload to their Metaverse, which is ‘a common compiled location.’

Consumers can buy plots of virtual land to build digital businesses and homes.

‘I want this place to showcase my commitment to Reflective Design, a new definition of avant garde luxury for the digital age, Kim shared in a statement.

‘I designed and created Mars House in May 2020, during the first wave of COVID-19 locks.’

The artist said she partnered with musician Jeff Schroeder of The Smashing Pumpkins to create a soothing musical support.

Mars House is one big enclosure in clear glass walls.

Throughout the home there are various areas, such as a place to eat, sit with company and sleep, all separated for a little more privacy.

There is a large roof over the roof of the home, with the light fixtures on the inside to illuminate the home during Martian evening hours.

Kim hopes the buyer will project a Mars home on their Earth based on it.

‘Everyone should install an LED wall in their home for NFT art,’ said the artist.

“This is the future, and Mars House shows the beauty of that potential.”

What are NFTs?

What is NFT?

A Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is a unique digital token encrypted with an artist’s signature and authenticated and authenticated and permanently attached to the piece.

What do they look like?

Most NFTs include some kind of digital artwork, such as photos, videos, GIFs, and music. Theoretically, anything digital could be converted to NFT.

Where can you buy them?

Currently, NFTs are typically sold in so-called ‘drop’, online sales compiled by blockchain-supported markets such as Nifty Gateway, Opensea and Rarible.

Why would I want to have one?

There are several reasons why someone may want to buy NFT. For some, the reason may be an emotional value, as NFTs are seen as collectibles. For others, they are seen as a similar investment opportunity to cryptocurrencies, as their value may increase.

When were NFTs created?

Writer and podcaster Andrew Steinwold traced the origins of NFTs back to 2012, when the Coins Colored cryptocurrency was created. But NFTs didn’t move into the mainstream until five years later, when the blockchain game CryptoKitties began selling virtual cats in 2017.
