Ferrari has fired the engine of its 2021 car for the first time before its launch in February.
Ferrari is coming off the back of its worst season in recent memory. He finished 2020 in sixth place – the lowest finish since the 1980 season.
On Friday, Ferrari posted a short video on its social channels, which started with text on a red screen, introducing its new car, it called the SF21.
“Our 2021 season starts here,” he said. “We can expect plenty of challenges along the way and we suspect we will do better.
“The car has been improved in all areas where improvements are permitted. We need to work decisively with a focus on where we were and where we want to go.
But now is the time for the SF21 to make the speech. “
He was later hit by a bullet from the car’s air box and the sound of his new engine.

The team’s driving line has changed for 2021, with Carlos Sainz replacing Sebastian Vettel. Three-time race winner Charles Leclerc will remain in the squad for the third season.
Ferrari will launch the new car on February 26th.
Preseason trials begin in Bahrain on March 12, ahead of the first race at the same location on March 28.
