Fatal accident on the highway: A 50-year-old man was killed today (Monday) in a car accident involving several vehicles on Road 4, near the Rishon Lezion interchange. Apparently, the vehicle was standing on the side of the road, and the dead man was standing on the edge and injured.
Beside him, three other people were moderately injured, including two men in their 40s and a 28-year-old woman suffering from limb injuries. The three were rushed to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod by MDA staff who arrived at the scene.
MDA paramedic Lior Harel said: “This is a very serious car accident. The truck was upside down in the middle of the road when the driver was trapped, and both vehicles were with severe tin damage. Next to the vehicle that was on the side of the road, a 50-year-old man was lying unconscious and suffering from very severe injuries to his lower body. We performed medical tests but he was without signs of life, and we had no choice but to determine his death. “The driver of the truck who was moderately injured was rescued by firefighters while suffering from injuries to his limbs.
