Fans to join U2 as they tour again on the `virtual road ‘on YouTube

FANS will be able to re-join U2 on tour sooner than previously thought, as the band embarks on the ‘virtual road’ with a series of four time-limited concerts on the their YouTube channel.

`U2: The Virtual Road ‘also marks the first time that three of these shows – Slane, Red Rocks and Mexico – have been released digitally.

Each is available for 48 hours only, with the first concert broadcast on St Patrick’s Day.

U2 Go Home: Live From Slane Castle marks the band ‘s return to a legendary concert venue on September 1, 2001 for their first show on the banks of the River Boyne in over twenty years.

However, this time a separate YouTube show from Dermot Kennedy will open the show as a one-on-one support show that was recorded last week outside Los Angeles.

On March 25, fans can visit to record U2: Live At Red Rocks on June 5, 1983 at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, USA on the band ‘s `War Tour’.

The work that defines a career, full of water in a iconic venue is backed by Grammy-nominated band Fontaines DC, with a recording from their hometown last year.

April Fools Day will broadcast the `PopMart Tour ‘at Foro Sol Stadium, Mexico City in December 1997 with Carla Morrison opening for the band.

April 10 will see `iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE: Live in Paris’, from December 2015, the last performance on the tour less than a month after the November 13 terrorist attacks on the city.

The YouTube show features French band Feu! Chatterton on support.
