Eyal Berkowitz sues Noam Fathi: “Post offensive things”

Eyal Berkowitz filed a lawsuit in the amount of NIS 142,000 in the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court against radio presenter Noam Fathi, following publications against him on Twitter published by Fathi, and, according to Berkowitz, are defamatory. Berkowitz, through his attorney Jonathan Revach, claims that Fathi apparently knew the consequences of his actions and acted with deliberate intent, ostensibly, in publications in order to tarnish the name of the former actor.

The statement of claim reads: “If the first publication was not sufficient, the defendant continued to explain inexplicably obscene publications that harm the plaintiff’s good name, cynical and ugly publications that were done unfairly, intentionally and with the intent to intentionally harm the plaintiff in the first place.” He fatally trampled on the plaintiff’s name. “

The lawsuit also featured a publication with various words against Berkowitz, at the end of which Fathi writes: “I wish he would sue me.”

After the lawsuit was published, Fathi wrote on Twitter: “Eyal Berkowitz said he was suing me for NIS 100,000. I just received information that he was suing for NIS 142,000 in the end. So what, he found out that the lawyer costs NIS 42,000?” Earlier he tweeted in response: “Open in response: Ah wow is this still happening?”.

Earlier this month, Berkowitz defeated MK Issawi Frij, who filed a lawsuit against him after alleging defamation against Berkowitz, in what he said against him on the Ofira and Barko program. The court ruled in favor of Berkowitz, ruling that the Knesset member would pay the presenter and the former footballer legal expenses.
