What has changed for West Ham this season?
A change that has allowed West Ham to succeed in the league this season is their defensive linemen. Signs of shrewd have been a testament to West Ham’s success, especially the loan signs of the two goal scorers from their last Premier League win, a 2-0 result against Leeds United at Marcelo Bielsa. Watford midfielder Craig Dawson on loan at West Ham scored their second goal in Leeds’ win. The first was written by Jesse Lingard at Manchester United.
In the summer, Moyes bought Tomas Soucek. Along with Declan Rice, West Ham had a mediocre set of midfielders who were able to provide cover for all four of their goals. Add Dawson to the mix, and suddenly a revamped defensive set of players has given the Hammers a chance to let their attacking players have the freedom to go ahead and try to score.
