While most of us are waiting for the official announcement of the Wear OS-based OnePlus smartwatch that made headlines in late 2020 and is expected to come out early this year, OnePlus is not content with just a regular smartwatch and is also expected to introduce a new fitness strap, according to an official teaser The company. OnePlus will try to enter the smart fitness straps market in front of models like Shiomi’s Mi Band 5 or Honor’s Honor Band 6.

A pair of new leaks show the technical specifications and photos of the OnePlus Band strap. According to the leaked information, the OnePlus Band will come with a 1.1-inch AMOED screen with the option to monitor 13 different types of fitness activities, 24/7 continuous pulse monitoring, blood oxygen saturation testing (SpO2) and sleep monitoring. The strap is expected to come with IP68 water and dust resistance and offer 14 days of use with a single charge. This is a technical specification very similar to Shiomi’s Mi Band 5 strap.

The OnePlus Band is expected to be officially unveiled in India on 11.1 at a price of about 2499 rupees (about 109 NIS or about 34 dollars).

There is no doubt that 2021 will become an interesting year for OnePlus users with the company’s expected entry into the wearable products market through the OnePlus Band and the announcement of the OnePlus Watch later this year.
