Euroleague: 60:99 to Anadolu Zero on Moscow elimination

The 20th round of the Euroleague kicked off tonight (Thursday) and in parallel with the game between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Basconia, two more games are being played in total: the first has already ended in an easy victory of Anadolu Zero over Moscow Khimki by almost 40 points.

Anadolu Zero – Moscow Khimki 60:99

Last season Anadolu galloped towards winning the Euroleague and it is quite possible that without the outbreak of the Corona virus and the cancellation of the season she would also have returned the coveted title to Istanbul, but this season she looked completely different. Fact, on the eve of the 20th cycle she was not at all among the top eight. Tonight, in front of the unfortunate table lock, Anadolu recorded a third consecutive victory in the Euroleague – and with a crazy gap of no less than 39 points difference!

Himki, who has won only twice since the start of the season, was still close to the host in the opening and went down after only the first 10 minutes with a lag of only 19:26, but as the minutes passed the Turks managed to increase the advantage, by 16 points (36:52) and in the third and fourth quarters Himki Scored 10 and 14 points respectively, numbers that allow almost no option to bring out a defeat by such an astronomical difference.

Four Anadolu players scored in double digits in the home celebration of Himaki, with the Bolt scoring scoring Sertage Senley with 19 points in 18 minutes. Shane Larkin scored 15 and also handed out 5 assists, Bryant Dunston and Bogran Tuncher scored 12 each and in total Anadolu players scored 99 points on 60.9 percent from the field en route to eighth place in the table with a 9:11 balance. Alexei Sheved scored 13 points for Himki and Jordan Mickey finished as the Russians’ leading scorer with 14, but they fell into the dismal 18: 2 balance.
