Return to Israel. Eran Zehavi and Eli Desa landed in Israel this morning after returning from the Netherlands, ahead of the upcoming national team break in which Willy Rotensteiner’s blue and whites will play against Denmark, Scotland and Moldova in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Qatar. Ilai Almkeys, who was not included in the squad, also landed in Israel with the two.
Last night (Sunday), Israeli players’ staff gathered at a hotel in central Tel Aviv, when the team will begin its training ahead of the first game in the campaign against Denmark in Israel this coming Thursday at 19:00, where it hopes to open the qualifiers in a positive way.
Only yesterday, PSV and Zahavi surrendered 2-0 to Alkmaar, in a game in which the Israeli had a hard time expressing himself. Vitesse and Desa ended in a zero-league draw against Willem ||, while Almkeys did not share Dan Hague’s painful loss to Ajax, 5: 0.
