Enough of the double standard: there is no problem in returning Noble and Micah to Israel

Beginning of an article

That no one will teach Yaakov Shachar about morals and values. Decades of business and sports activity prove my point. The moment the case against Omar Atzili and Dor Micha is closed when they are free of criminal guilt, Israeli football can contain them and get them back.

As long as the case was open in the State Attorney’s Office, I, too, sided over every stage in the position of figures like Mitch Goldhaar and Yossi Benyon, who disqualified the two outright. I also sculpted. After the law enforcement authorities, ie the best investigators of the Israel Police and the State Attorney’s Office, have completed their duties and determined that they are free from criminal guilt, there is nothing wrong with allowing them to return to the football fields in the country.

Yes, Goldhaar also needs to bring back the generation of Micah, only it is not certain that there is at all the appropriate ladder that will allow him to descend from the tree he climbed. Too many parts of our society and football have recently dealt with targeted thwarting and character assassination while completely ignoring the final verdict. Those who did not make amends here and received back with a hug and a criminally convicted criminal like Jackie Ben Zaken, Eli Tabib, Obeida Hatab, Eliran Atar and others. Those who did not make amends here when Yitzhak Aspa continued to play even after a conviction in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in Adam’s death.

In a country where an interior minister convicted of serious bribery continues to hold office and be one of the most powerful and influential figures, the country is now unwilling to hear about Noble Omar and Dor Micha. This is called double standards. I understand the protest of the women’s lobbies on social media and in front of Yaakov Shachar’s house, and I too still feel disgusted by the very act and conduct of the actors who in the bottom line severely harmed the souls of two young girls. But I am equally disgusted with morning news of various immoral acts around and within Israeli football.

However, once the prosecution has determined that there is no criminal element here, the right of both players to complete freedom of occupation is maintained. Personally, I am disgusted by the act of the two, but also not willing to become a hangman and part of the media department for morality and disqualify them from returning to Israeli football, when not even an indictment was filed in the case and the prosecution’s acquittal was absolute. What’s more, within my people I live and am aware that in our places and on our lands there are those who do not exactly belong to the Law of the Righteous.

Yankele Shachar and Barak Bachar have children. These are two of the most worthy and valuable in our football. Noble would not have considered them if the case had remained open or alternatively the decision of the State Attorney’s Office was different in their case. Maccabi Haifa can take a championship even without a noble Omar, it will surely be better with him. Maccabi Tel Aviv can return to the championship race with Dor Micha.

Obviously it is very difficult to digest, but a little compassion and less cruelty are the order of the day towards the return of at least one of them to the country, and maybe even both. Noble Omar and Dor Micha will face on all levels the consequences of this affair until their last day. In front of their families, in front of the girls and their families, in front of the public and the media. Hope they do not wait for them at the airport with songs of praise and praise or God forbid carrying on their hands. Hopefully they will also continue to get up every morning to look in the mirror and understand the magnitude of the mistake and disgust in their act. But after all, the picture is not simple, they should be allowed to return to the football fields in Israel.
