England will start their 2021 home summer with a two-match series against a New Zealand side that are currently top of the ICC test rankings.

Joe Root’s men will go against black captains Kane Williamson in LV = Insurance Tests at Lord’s from June 2-6 and at Edgbaston from June 10-14.

The Lord’s Test marks the first time the sides have met at Cricket Home since England won against borders over New Zealand in the 2019 Cricket World Cup final.

England’s men will also play three Vitality IT20 T20 matches against Sri Lanka in June, which comes ahead of the three ODIs already announced against the same challenge.

White ball side Eoin Morgan welcomes Sri Lanka for the T20 internationals at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff (23 and 24 June) and at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton (26 June).

The three one-day internationals will then take place at Emirates Riverside Durham (June 29), The Kia Oval (July 1) and Bristol (July 4).

Ticket voting is now open for the June games at The Ageas Bowl, Edgbaston and Sophia Gardens while general sale tickets will be available across all venues from February 22 – refund policies are in place if population is restricted because of Covid-19.

England’s men’s summer also includes ODI and T20 series with Pakistan and five Tests against India.

Planning for the Ashes England squad against Australia is still subject to Covid-19 assessments.
