DeGeneres went on to explain that she learned about her experiment in her studio, prior to filming. “I was in hair and makeup, getting my face powdered and my extension applied,” she said. “And then my assistant Craig walked in and said, ‘You did a positive test for COVID,’ and then everyone around me ran. It’s funny, people are just scared, and they run. Some have not returned since. “
DeGeneres also talked about her symptoms, which is the back pain she talked about before in a video she tweeted. “The doctor put me on pain pills and muscle relaxants – jackpot, finally this thing pays off,” she said, going on to describe the pain. “You know how to make you laugh so hard that your ribs hurt? That’s how it was for me. Now I know how you feel when I smile at you. ” The back pain, she said, was “the only symptom” she experienced.
