Listen up on the East Side, Gossip Girl reboot has a new throwing ball.

‘You’ star Elizabeth Lail is the latest addition to HBO Max ‘s’ Gossip Girl’ replay.

Based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar as the original, the new show is set eight years after the parent series and will follow a new generation of New York school teens who will experience the social sensations of the Gossip Girl site. According to Deadline, the 10-program series also comes from original creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.

Lail joins an ensemble group of the revival that includes Jordan Alexander, Julien Calloway, Whitney Peak, Thomas Doherty, Evan Mock, Eli Brown, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Zion Moreno, and Savannah Lee Smith, among others.

Actress Kristen Bell returns as the voice of Gossip Girl. The new show will address just how social media – and the New York landscape itself – has changed in the years since. Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios are making the move.
The original series, which ran from 2007 to 2012, featured Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Taylor Momsen, Leighton Meester, and Ed Westwick.
