Israel on Sunday launched its “Green Pass” campaign, which will enable those who have been vaccinated against coronavirus or have recovered from the disease to access recreational facilities and events. great in the future. This, however, has left some Israelis confused as to whether they deserve the pass and how to get into it.
The government voted earlier this week to reopen gyms, pools, cultural and sports centers, hotels and galleries for those who received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine or recovered from COVID-19 and could be proven to be immune.
Those who qualify for a Green Pass will get their pass through the Ministry of Health mobile app “Ramzor”, which will be available on Sunday.
Those who use the app are required to enter personal details such as ID or passport number, phone number and date of birth. They will then receive a confirmation code with an SMS, which they need to enter in order for the app to display the permission.
After you confirm the details, a printable version of the Green Pass will appear with an attached QR code, which will be scanned by business owners to verify the effectiveness of the pass.
It will also be possible to access the Green Pass by calling the number * 5400 and requesting that permission be sent to you by e – mail or fax.
Everyone who displays the pass at the entrance to facilities, whether it is the app version or the printable version, must present it along with a valid ID card.
Earlier in the day, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and Director General of the Ministry of Health Dr. Hezi Levy, the campaign was officially unveiled at a press conference.
“Today we have great news for those who are getting the vaccine,” Edelstein said. “From Sunday, vaccinations and recycling will be able to go to gyms, concerts, hotels, synagogues, which will serve those who have a Green Pass.”
Edelstein said that the app may have a number of technical issues when it launches, and urged people to wait a few days before using the app if it does not have high permissions.
“Those who don’t have an urgent need to download the app, can wait a few days,” said Edelstein, who also warned of the inevitable use of fake licenses.
“Anyone who thinks this is a game and prints a certificate even though they have not been vaccinated will be caught and possibly thrown in jail,” the minister said.
“Those who choose not to be vaccinated – they are right. There will also be no personal sanctions against someone who is not vaccinated. It should be understood that this is a great benefit that has been given to us all. “
Edelstein also wanted to clarify a common misconception among those who received the vaccine. “Unfortunately, many of those who received the vaccine decided that a mask was not needed. I repeat – keep your mask on even if you have been vaccinated.”
