Importer of the Mercedes brand vehicles to Israel Colmobil announced today (Tuesday) that it has begun marketing the new Mercedes S-Class, the German manufacturer’s flagship car. This is the seventh generation of the luxurious limousine that inevitably carries upgrades at all levels, from dimensions, performance, safety, interior space and instrumentation packages. It will sell on 2 engines and three distinct finish levels. Unlike its predecessor, it will no longer be offered in a coupe and cabriolet body due to the manufacturer’s strategic considerations, but it will in future have a full electric equivalent, the EQS, one ambassador out of a series of revolutionary electric models expected to hit the roads.
The new S-Class, model W223, reflects through an elegant design and is very much identified with the brand history changes in the body and interior. It is larger than the outgoing model in length, width and base of the wheels, and boasts an extremely low towing factor that has a positive effect on its resource consumption. Despite its generous dimensions, almost 5.2 m in length, Mercedes made sure that wandering in parking spaces would not be particularly cumbersome, as it is equipped with rear steering that “shrinks” it and facilitates the maneuvering craft in crowded places dramatically.
In terms of engines, it will sell the S350 diesel version and the S500 mid-hybrid version also has dual propulsion, both based on the 3.0-liter V6 combustion unit as the main energy source. In the diesel model, the power is 286 hp and 60 kg “from 1,200 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission that accelerates to 100 km / h in 6.4 seconds. The most powerful version, the hybrid extracts a maximum output of 450 hp and 52 kg from 1800 rpm. It accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds. The average fuel consumption of the hybrid blood is about 12 km per liter of gasoline.
The S-Class can be purchased in the ‘Platinum’ package (only at 350 diesel), topped by the ‘Platinum Plus’ and the most senior AMG line package. All models come with the best refinements: Bromster audio system with 4D effect and 15 speakers, 19-20 inch rims (depending on the model), heated and air-conditioned leather seats with massage in part, 12.8-inch vertical touch screen, MBUX control version 7.0, Air suspension system with automatic height adjustment function, advanced elite display with augmented reality, 64-shade mood lighting, panoramic ceiling, smart LED lighting and an option for sophisticated lighting with increased range, increased heating kit for the steering wheel and armrests, central entertainment system for rear seats and more. The S-Class has more than a dozen smart active protection systems. The AMG model is also available with a ‘night’ package for an additional fee.
Prices Will start at NIS 1.09 million, for NIS 1.25 million and up to NIS 1.35 million for the AMG-line edition based on the S500 hybrid model.
