Edelstein said at the beginning of the hearing that the Ministry of Health would ask for an extension of the closure restrictions for another week: “.

On the outline of the green passport, Edelstein said: “There is a good response to vaccines. More than 80% of the population at risk have been vaccinated and there are still 252,000 people who meet this definition of 60+ and chronic diseases who have not yet been vaccinated. More than 60% “There is still insufficient response among educational staff, where there is no age limit. In general, we vaccinated 31% in Leumit 27% in Maccabi 42% and in Meuhedet 31%. A total of 34% of the teaching staff were vaccinated and there is no need to expand on the consequences.”

The meeting was supposed to take place two weeks ago but was postponed. According to the outline that emerged as of the previous meeting, the “green passport” will not be activated in the education system, in workplaces, on street shops, in public transportation and in prayer houses. At the same time it may operate in restaurants and cafes, malls, hotels, gyms and swimming pools. It also indicates that it can be used in cultural events, sporting events, conferences, events and museums.

Apparently, the certificate will be valid from the date of receipt of the second vaccine dose and for six months from that date, and will grant the person an exemption from the obligation to isolate. In addition, an English version will be provided for flights abroad. A “green passport” is a transit mark that allows entry to places and activities and will be provided in a dedicated widget or printed certificate. The approval will be activated subject to the economy opening policy to be decided later.

The purpose of the certificates is to encourage the population to get vaccinated, to promote the opening of the economy and they will be used as a means of managing a routine in accordance with the morbidity data.
