England head coach Eddie Jones is splitting up after one of his co-workers tested positive for a coronavirus.

Forward coach Matt Proudfoot returned a positive test ahead of the Six Nations training camp in England, which starts next Wednesday.

Jones and offensive coach Simon Amor have been identified as close associates and must be separated for 10 days, according to Government instructions.

If the pair return negative tests after their period of loneliness, they will be able to enter the English camp next Thursday.

The Rugby Football Union says Proudfoot is asymptomatic.

England to be without Ryles for the Six Nations

England need to set up the Six Nations title defense without the assistant assistant coach Jason Ryles.

In a difficult situation for Jones, Ryles and his family have decided not to move from Australia to London this month due to the lockout for a coronavirus emergency.

New entrants into the UK require quarantine for 10 days.

It is not yet certain whether Ryles will replace the Six Nations, but it is hoped that he will be available for a summer tour of North America.
