Duke of Iron: Prince Philip has been released from the hospital

The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, was released today (Tuesday) from hospital at King Edward Hospital in London, after the longest period of hospitalization. Philip returns to Windsor Palace where Queen Elizabeth is.

“His Excellency would like to thank the medical staff who treated him, both at King Edward Hospital and at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital. He returned to Windsor Palace after receiving treatment for an infection and a successful procedure of treating a previous medical problem,” Buckingham Palace said.

The prince was seen leaving the hospital in a black survival car, accompanied by heavy police as the streets near the hospital were closed by police.

The prince was hospitalized on February 16 and spent 28 nights in hospital, during which he was transferred from St. Bartholomew’s Hospital to King Edward Hospital, for a reason not disclosed by the palace. The prince’s exact condition was not disclosed to the media but it was clarified that he was not infected with Corona.

During his hospitalization he visited his eldest son Prince, Prince Charles, who stayed with him for about half an hour and then was seen leaving the hospital building. Prince Philip is expected to celebrate his 100th birthday in June. He is the most prolific royal spouse in the history of the UK Royal Family.
