Dua Lipa will perform on “Saturday Night Live”

The cast of Saturday Night Live closed out 2020 with a banger line, in which none other than our rising pop queen, Dua Lipa – or, Dula Peep, as Wendy Williams is infamously called. And her performance – like the single from her debut album – hotter than hell.

Before he hit the stage, Dua mocked fans by appearing in a skit on a World War II theme, somehow making military uniforms look elegant. Then she slipped into your top of the belt Azzedine Alaïa, paired with legs and a black body suit, to a version of “Don’t Start Now.” As a rule, the number reminded us of the urgency with which we a Future Nostalgia a post-COVID tour, and how amazing Dua is.

For her second performance, Dua put her dance aside and put on a white Valentino couture gown with a matching feather hat to give the Levitating “Levitating” SNL platform. It was at the height of “Jellyfish, but make it fashion,” and Dua looked as beautiful as ever. The show itself was amazing, but very different from the electronic version she made a few weeks ago at the American Music Awards.

“Right now,” tweet one fan, and another write, “2020 belonged to Dua Lipa!” And while a lot of fans jumped at the chance to make a meme under the Dua submarine (“I thought Spongebob and Patrick would try to capture #DuaLipa on #SNL tonight,” mockery one stan), another sharply write, “The Dua Lipa ad on #SNL surprises me and I now wear one every day on all Zoom calls.” Now that’s it baby.

One thing is clear: Dua is the queen of versatility, both in her style and in her music. Whether rocking a couture gown, fishnet stockings, or minidress armor, she continues to prove her excellence time and time again. And how best to end 2020, and SNLannual line, than with some classic Dula Peep?
