Draymond Green to miss the rest of the Warriors road trip

During both games at the Golden State Warriors losing streak to start the season, Steve Kerr ‘s rotation has been missing a key piece. Draymond Green was sent off for the first pair of tournaments at Golden State against the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks due to a right leg injury. Green will now be sent off for the third game in a row.

On Sunday, Kerr pitched Green against the Chicago Bulls. While Green has been involved in practice and scrimmages, the Warriors are getting patient with their All-Star forward. The former defender of the Year will also miss the final stop of Golden State’s four-game road trip in Detroit on Tuesday.

Draymond got through the scrimmage really well yesterday and it felt good. We just felt, from a positional standpoint, that it made more sense to give him the next two games. He’s not going to play tonight or in Detroit. It does very well, and the leg has healed nicely, but again, it was out with the league protocols and the cooling rate is important because it’s dangerous to put someone out. there which is not quite ready in terms of setting. It leaves people vulnerable. We feel better about getting another four or five days of work before it gets on the floor.

While Green isn’t on the floor, he still takes time to work with James Wiseman at 2020 at Golden State 2020. When the Warriors lost 39-points to the Bucks on Christmas Day, Green was caught coaching up the rookie on the side.

With Green on both sides, Kerr has started NBA sophomore Eric Paschall to start. Juan Toscano-Anderson has got minutes behind Paschall.

With Green and Marquese Chriss’s slate missing the rest of the season with a broken leg, Kerr needs to get creative with his move in the front court. With a thin depth chart, Wiseman and Kevon Looney could also see more careers against Chicago and Detroit.
