Super Ball Dragon has put down a new set of Dragon Balls with the latest chapter of the series! The Dragon Ball franchise has a lot of memorable characters and moments, but the series wouldn’t have made such a big impact without the Dragon Balls title. Several types of Dragon Balls have been introduced over the course of the series, and this latest chapter has added another set of Dragon Balls to the growing collection. This is the first set of new Dragon Balls exclusively for the manga release of the series, and the second set for Super Ball Dragon all in all!
Chapter 69 of Super Ball Dragon continues the arc of Granolah the Survivor by following his titular hero as fans find out about a new set of desire granting Dragon Balls belonging to Namekian who is now living on Planet Cereal in the rebuilt community after the death of the Granolah people. With these new Dragon balls too there is a new risk that someone will get a reckless desire to fulfill … something we see coming to fruition at the end of the chapter.
The chapter includes Monaito, the last survivor of a tribe of Namekians who lived on the planet Grain. He currently lives with Granolah on the outskirts of a rebuilt city, and currently owns one small Dragon Ball (at least compared to the original set). He says Granolah needed two to make a wish, but the second ball was missing for forty years.
Monaito then reveals where the Dragon Balls themselves came from and says they were meant to celebrate Namekians ’greatest heroes. They vary in size and number depending on who created them from the beginning, and were supposed to be a reward from Namekians who would collect these Dragon Balls to save their people from great suffering.
0commentsAs for the types of desires that are possible with Monaito ‘s version of the Dragon Balls, we see that as soon as Granolah has finished the chapter by successfully finding the second ball and wishing to to be the greatest hero in the universe. The chapter ends before we see it implemented (or find out the official name of the new dragon), so that raises the question of whether it can be. But what do you think?
