“Dor Peretz’s scandalous gate, lack of good faith”

Hapoel Tel Aviv did not relax, to say the least, with Dor Peretz’s equalizer last night (Saturday) in the Tel Aviv derby against Maccabi, and regardless of Ernests Stakus’ claims that the ball did not cross the line in full. A senior official at the club, where everyone has been angry since the game at Bloomfield Stadium, told ONE today: “The decision to approve Maccabi Tel Aviv’s goal is outrageous at best and borders on bad faith.”

“Every sensible person knows that every touch on the 5th court is a foul, so how can a player send a foot into the goalkeeper’s body, with the traffic jams forward – and the referee ignores? Even if there was no touch (and there was a clear touch) it is a dangerous game.” The same source added regarding the decision of Judge Eitan Shmuelevich, who discussed the issue with the VAR judges but did not re-examine the incident.

“Fulfilled, but also the VAR referees, the linemen and the fourth referee, no one saw? It is a shame that in addition, the union also backs the referees in such angled decisions. The level of criticism in this case matches the level of refereeing in the game.”
