Mace Windu could return to one of Disney Plus’ new Star Wars shows.

In a cryptic Instagram post, the official Star Wars account blocked the return of a Star Wars favorite: Mace Windu.
Samuel L. Jackson played the Jedi Guardian in the infamous prequel trilogy, and while those films never won over the Star Wars fanbase, special characters did. Many agree, for example, that Ewen MacGregor was Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Almost everyone agrees that Darth Maul was a great sailor and we all want to see more (and possibly, on Disney Plus).
Mace Windu is also in this category. Although he did not play his major role in the prequel trquogy, he remained important. Destroyers ahead.
Mace Windu was a Master of Jedi Order before handing that title to Yoda. He killed Boba Fett’s “father” Jango Fett at the Battle of Geonosis. And he went against Palpatine after Anakin Skywalker revealed to him that Palpatine and Darth Sidious were the same thing.
Eventually, Anakin betrayed Windu, and Sidious killed him – or was he? It is long believed that Windu did not fall to death; that a Jedi Master as powerful in the Force as Mace Windu would find a way to stop falling, fatten his wounds, and wait for another day ‘s fight.
This looks more likely than ever with the raft of Star Wars shows going to Disney Plus in the next year or two. While the filmmaking side of Star Wars has taken a bit of a break, the Force is strong when it comes to both live TV and live action.
The official Star Wars Instagram account sent this message on Samuel L. Jackson’s birthday:

“The party is not over, it’s just beginning! Sending a happy birthday to Samuel L. Jackson, ”the post reads. Jackson can be seen in his Jedi costumes.
Here is Mace Windu’s famous online play “The Party is Over!” which he said to Palpatine when he challenged and just before his progressive duel and the reconciliation with emo Anakin.
It was over – but not for Darth Sidious. Windu was “killed” and Palpatine issued Order 66, a death penalty for countless Jedi and Force humans and aliens throughout the galaxy. The fall of Windu was one of the last obstacles that Palpatine took complete control of the Republic and began its transition to an Empire.
The return of Mace Windu makes sense in the context of Star Wars, a fable that often brings back dead characters – sometimes really alive, often as Ghost Ghosts. Both are possible with Mace. Strangely, we have never seen the Ghost of Mace Windu Force, which is as good as a piece of evidence that he lives with gin. (Okay, it appears in one comic like Ghost Ghost, but it’s doubtful whether it’s even real or just a scene in Darth Vader’s mind. The Empire strikes back that examines what would have happened if Luke had died on Hoth).
What show could he return to? No Am Mandalorian. We’ve had plenty of Jedi Masters from the past appearing on that show. Maybe in Ewan McGregor Obi-Wan’s show? Or the upcoming Rosario Dawson Ahsoka exhibition? Both would work, although I like the idea of Obi-Wan and Mace Windu meeting best.
And it’s possible that this is fog and mirror, just Star Wars social media fans. We’ll see.
