Did the Cold War Black Ops come together as a good or bad thing for Warzone?

Warzone and Black War Cold Ops merged back in December in a move that was the first for the Call of Duty franchise. Many of the players were excited, but now there is a big concern for Warzone. Was a merger between the two games a good idea?

That’s a very complicated question because it can be hard to see beyond where the game has gone. Warzone is now flooded with the DMR 14, which is easily the strongest weapon in the meta. It seems to be even the strongest weapon Warzone players have seen to date.

Black Ops Cold War weapons are the main force in Warzone as the game currently stands, and they certainly surpass the previous Modern Warfare weapons.

It has turned many players away from the game in frustration when the Mac 10 and DMR 14 are the same weapons melting everyone. However, the unification may still be for the better.

Warzone needed a Black Ops Cold War military union

As always, when a game undergoes major changes, many players will look back to how it once was.

It can cause a lot of push back or frustration, especially when the new Black Ops Cold War meta is as bad in a game as Warzone. But that push back can give blind players to what was happening before major change took place.

Warzone as a player knew he was really on his last legs. There was a ton of fat in the game due to lack of content, which started all over again. Prior to the merger, Warzone had received very few map changes, few weapon changes, and very few weapon additions every month or two.

While the game was still fun, and a meta was set that fans love, it was inevitable to leave. Climbers kept out just because they knew there was more content on the trail.

If Activision could go all the way back to a year ago and change their roadmap, it might be a better idea to separate the two games and their content. But as it was, Warzone desperately needed content, and the Black Ops Cold War union provided new weapons, a new gulag, and a new meta.

When a fix is implemented to tweak Black Ops Cold War weapon damage, Warzone looks a lot better, and players are likely to be happy that there are far more weapons in a fair meta. But there is also a suggestion that Activision made Black Ops Cold War weapons more powerful to boost sales for the new game.

There may be some truth to that, but the fact is that not many of the weapons are great, and they needed a tweak after their release to compete with the Modern Warfare weapons.

Infinity Ward made too much compensation, and now the meta is unfair. In the near future, however, the Cold War of Black Ops may be the only thing that keeps players in Warzone until a fully-fledged map is released.
