Developers sections Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 Details, Release date not yet announced

Cyberpunk 2077 will soon get the long-awaited Patch 1.2 and CD developer Projekt Red has shared some of the improvements the patch will bring to the game. In the form of a special report by N54 News (in-game news channel), the developers shared that the patch will make some changes to police response time, driving, vehicles, and motion mechanics. So far, there is no date for when the patch will be released, and the company has shared on Twitter that full patch notes will be coming later.

Back in January, CD Projekt Co-Founder Marcin Iwinski co-founded a timeline for when upcoming pieces for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released. While Patch 1.1 was released on time, delayed Patch 1.2 due to the cyberattack on CD Projekt in early February. Finally, some news regarding the development of Patch 1.2 was shared with the developer via a post on the website, outlining some of the changes the patch will bring to the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 changing

The NCPD’s Rapid Response Team, which is a police force in the game, usually spans the player’s back in case they commit a “crime.” This made the experience very impractical. After the patch, police NPCs (Unplayable Characters) take some time to reach the crime scene for a more realistic feel. There will also be a re-drone used to give the impression that the crime is being assessed.

Driving in Cyberpunk 2077 has been a pain since it was acquired, but things are likely to eventually change for the better. Post the piece, the options will feature a directional sensitivity slider, which would allow players to increase or decrease the directional sensitivity without adversely affecting the maximum leg radius. In addition, CD Projekt said that steering speeds will now be more consistent even in low FPS situations. “Finally, we looked at a bunch of tweaks to individual cars and changed some that were too annoying in low frame rates, including the player’s Archer Hella,” the post said.

Players can also hover their cars back and forth or left to right by using the accelerator in case a vehicle gets stuck.

In terms of motion mechanics, Patch 1.2 would make some changes to the ‘dodge on double-tapping’ feature. There have been complaints about the dodging mechanics in the game because, basically, double tapping often encourages unintentional moves. There will be an option to disable ‘Dodge on double tap’ but players will still be able to try double tapping on the crouch key.

The full changelog for Patch 1.2 will be shared later, according to the company tweet.

As previously mentioned, there is no release date for the Patch 1.2, which was due to launch in February. However, the company had shared that it will launch sometime in March, which means players can expect this week or early next week.
