Demonstrations against Netanyahu: Seven detainees in a demonstration outside the prime minister’s residence

About seven demonstrators were arrested this morning (Wednesday) during a protest by about a hundred participants in Balfour, who marched from Agron Street toward the compound in the Prime Minister’s Residence plaza in Jerusalem. This is due to the postponement of the trial in Netanyahu’s trial, which was supposed to take place today and was postponed to February 8 due to the closure. Police forces are working to maintain order.

The demonstrators used zmbors and claimed to have done so in accordance with the noise law and the High Court ruling. However, the commander of the Moriah station objected to this and claimed that it was forbidden to demonstrate. In addition, the demonstrators blocked major arteries and the residents in the area were prevented from leaving the parking lots of the houses on their way to work.

The protesters responded: “There is no such thing as an illegal demonstration! Stop us all! Both a dictator and a corrupt who will not run away from the trial.” Also, the streets near Paris Square were closed to traffic and police asked drivers to take alternative routes.

In response to the arrests, the Prime Minister movement stated: “Once again, the Jerusalem police have been proven to be a political police force that has no authority to suppress the protest, in the service of the Balfour defendant. .

Last week, the Jerusalem District Court informed Netanyahu’s attorneys Shaul and Iris Elowitz and Arnon Mozes that the hearing that was supposed to take place in their case as part of the “4,000 case” was postponed due to the closure.
