Demi Lovato says a relationship with Max Ehrich helped her understand her sexuality

American singer Demi Lovato recently revealed that her brief connection with actor Max Ehrich helped her understand her sexuality. They started running in early 2020 and announced the connection in July. However, by September their communication had been canceled.

In her interview with E! News, Demi Lovato said, “As I got older, I started to realize how weird I was.” She said she was linked to a man last year and when it didn’t work out she thought it was a big sign. She thought she was going to spend her life with someone. But now that she wasn’t going to do it, she felt a sense of relief that she could keep her truth alive.

Prior to that, actress Wilmer Valderrama was joined by Demi Lovato. The couple separated ways in 2016. In the interview, she went on to explain that she takes time for herself before publicly posting more leaflets to explain herself further. She said she knows who she is and what she is, but she is just waiting for a certain timeline to come out to the world as who she is. She said, “I’m following my healers’ timeline, and I’m using this time to really explore and educate me on my journey and what I’m preparing to do.”

She also said that things felt “right” when she met a romantic woman. She said she made a connection with a girl and realized she liked it a lot more, it felt better, it felt right.

Reportedly, this is not the first time Demi has spoken about how fluent she is. In the April 2018 issue of InStyle, she shared that love can be found “in any gender.” In July 2020, she described herself as a “queer” in praise of the late Instagram Glee co-star Naya Rivera.
