Against the background of the struggle between the league director and the Ministry of Health over the return of the crowd to the pitches, Eyal Segal, owner of Maccabi Netanya, published today (Wednesday) through the club’s official page the diamond position regarding the crowd’s return, and as usual – expressed his opinion decisively.
“Israeli football has suffered countless blows over the past year, from the cessation of activities to the total shutdown of all leagues, from the seniors to the youth and children’s teams, and especially the complete exclusion of the crowd,” reads a post by staff. “Throughout, we made sure to keep the guidelines to set a personal example to the general public and fans in particular, as well as vaccinations, with all team members up to the senior team players on its wide capsule, vaccinated with the first vaccine and most already vaccinated with the second vaccine.”
“Despite the strictness and full cooperation on our part, there is clear discrimination in the decision on the amount of fans, vaccinated (!) That can be put in the stands in the open air, only to create the illusion of equality in front of the shows and events in the closed halls. “Fans who are growing up these days may miss the experience only as a result of misjudgment. We demand that football fans be returned to the pitches and improvised!”, He concluded.
