Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry has been a major focus for the Philadelphia 76ers over the past two days. While the Sixers are likely to be part of Lowry ‘s sweep down to the wire, they have other options available.
Several point guards have been attached to the 76ers over the past two months. One of them happened to be a Detroit Pistons guard, Delon Wright.
As the 28-year-old guard started for Detroit, which is clearly out of the playoff picture inside the Eastern Conference at this point, the Pistons became the time-sellers. year, as would be expected.
Late Wednesday night, Detroit finally sold the veterans guard in a trade with the Sacramento Kings. As a reward, the Pistons will receive former guard Cory Joseph and two second – round kicks, respectively ESPN’s NBA Insider, Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wright, who has another season left on his contract, was having a tough season for himself with the Pistons. In 36 games this year, he has averaged 10.4 points-per-game while hitting 46-percent of his shots from the field and 34-percent of all three.
The old guard made sense to the Sixers, who could use another ball-handling machine to get off the bench so they could move Shake Milton over to a firing guard, but Wright will stay in Sacramento’s plans. move on as they expect it to be a key piece of their roster for at least the next season.

With Wright off the board, that leaves the Sixers with a number of other options, including Lowry, Will Barton, George Hill, and Lonzo Ball. Whatever the Sixers plan to do, they have to deliver on Thursday afternoon, as the market closes soon.
