Andy Ruiz Jr will return to the ring for the first time since losing Anthony Joshua in a comeback fight against Chris Arreola on May 1, not April 24 as originally expected.
The former overweight champion surprised the world when he sent out AJ to claim WBA, IBF and WBO belts in June 2019.

However, he weighed in on more of a heavier stone for their immediate repatriation in Saudi Arabia after six months of partying and ill-preparedness.
As a result, he was thrown out by Joshua, lost his belts and has not fought since.
Now, however, he will return on May 1 against Arreola.
In a move that has caught the eye of America, it is also claimed that this bout will be at the forefront of a pay-per-view FOX show.

Arreola missed Kownacki last time out
The two men miss a loss with former opponent Arreola, now 39, beaten by Adam Kownacki last time out.
Ruiz Jr. has joined Eddy Reynoso, Canelo Alvarez’s trainer, and has lost weight.
Reynoso told Behind The Gloves: “It’s about 20lbs. And it has more muscle too.
“He’s not as fat as he used to be. It can move its bumps much better and that helps it move around in the ring…

“He works hard.
“He is trying to fight in April, but he hasn’t been confirmed yet.
“The change helped, coming into this camp. We know he can do well and I can be sure he will be a world champion again. “
