Danone’s board is acquiring Faber as chairman after campaigner pressure

PARIS (Reuters) – The board of French food group Danone on Sunday voted to oust Emmanuel Faber, Le Figaro newspaper reported, noting that he would be replaced by Gilles Schnepp, who came in as a late director. last year.

Danone had come under pressure a few months ago from a number of shareholders including investment fund Artisan Partners and venture investor Bluebell Capital to replace Faber at the helm.

Faber had already said earlier in March that he would resign as CEO, but remain chairman. Danone could not be immediately reached for reference.
