The chairman of Tikva Hadasha, Gideon Saar, has so far been careful to convey the message in the election campaign that only he can form a government other than Benjamin Netanyahu, and even ruled out the possibility of him sitting under Yair Lapid.
But today (Wednesday) the number 11 in the party, Danny Dayan, expressed himself in a different way, when he said in an interview with 90FM radio: “Personal ambitions cannot drag us into a fifth election campaign.
The words of Danny Dayan, who does not rule out sitting under Lapid as prime minister, correspond excellently with the Likud’s new campaign:

However, Dayan reserved his words, adding that he does not believe that Lapid will receive the mandate to form a government: “The president imposes the formation of a government according to who can form a government. I do not believe that Lapid will receive.”
Dayan later clarified his remarks in a Twitter tweet: “Lapid has no chance of forming a government. I repeated this throughout the interview. To the theoretical question of what will happen if the president in the twenty-seventh party imposes the mandate on him. “I will learn not to be polite in an election campaign. Only Gideon Saar will be able to form a government.”
On the High Court ruling on the issue of conversions, Dayan said: “We responded first. “We do not like the High Court replacing the elected echelon. An effort will be made to reach a consensus, but we do not undertake to accept the recommendations of Moshe Nissim. If the ultra-Orthodox adopt extreme positions, they should know that we will not accept it.”
