Nearly three weeks have passed since Joe Biden was sworn in, and as is well known, the president has not yet spoken to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Today (Wednesday), the American president received an interesting request on the matter, from Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, who urged Biden to call Netanyahu.

“President Biden is already in talks with the leaders of Canada, Mexico, Britain, India, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, South Korea and Russia. U.S? The prime minister’s phone number is 972-2-6705555, “Ambassador Danon wrote on his official Twitter account.

In recent days, many jokes have been written about Joe Biden’s ‘drying up’ of Prime Minister Netanyahu, apparently as a result of Netanyahu’s hostile attitude toward former President Obama, of which Biden was his deputy. While the heads of state have not yet spoken to each other, the foreign ministers of Israel and the United States, Gabi Ashkenazi and Anthony Blinken, have already spoken to each other several times.
Two days ago, Netanyahu said: “I spoke with Biden when he won, I guess he will call me soon. The alliance between us is strong and our relationship is already 40 years old.”
