Conor McGregor and Dana White ‘s love / hate relationship seems to be on the right side of the fence again.
Things did not go according to plan for McGregor in 2020. He made a blistering start to the year by knocking down Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds, but did not fight after that.

The coronavirus pandemic is largely to blame for that, but when the Irishman wanted to compete on Fight Island last summer, UFC White president denied it.
McGregor felt that White could have fought between Justin Gaethje and himself for the right to face Khabib Nurmagomedov, but the king believed that Gaethje had earned that right as- has a remarkable effect on Tony Ferguson.
McGregor then annoyed his chief by leaking private messages he sent to White to prove he was actively trying to get fights.
“We were in a really bad place then,” White said ESPN.

“I was very sad. It was not because he sent out private messages. It was (because of) that we were talking about another fighter. I really like Diego Sanchez and I have a lot of respect for Diego Sanchez. I care about Diego Sanchez.
“I was very sorry about that. I talked to Diego face-to-face about it. Being the big man he is, we are all good. Then I was really, really upset with Conor.
“Conor and I settled that and we talked and got through,” White said.
“We’re in a good place now.”
McGregor retired from MMA last summer saying the fighting game didn’t inspire him anymore, but now the Notorious is a resurgent man ahead of his fight against Dustin Poirier.

White has always had a special relationship with McGregor as his main place is the Irishman
“There’s nothing more exciting or fun than Conor McGregor’s inspiration when his head is in the right place,” White said.
“You can tell when it is, and you can tell when it is not. Right now, you can tell it’s inside.
“If something happens to Dustin Poirier, it’s Conor McGregor right now who doesn’t give a *** as who we put in the fight that night. He’s that guy right now. “
