Daily Mail & General Trust PLC reported Thursday that revenues fell for the first quarter of the 2021 crown when a coronavirus pandemic damaged consumer media and event activity.
The owner of the Daily Mail newspaper said it generated revenue of 304 million pounds ($ 415.1 million) for the quarter to Dec. 31, down 20% year-on-year. Basically, revenue in the first quarter fell 15%.
DMGT said its revenue decline in the first quarter reduced to 5% excluding its events and exhibition work.
The company said first-quarter revenue from its consumer media business fell 13% on a basic basis, while revenue from its business-to-business operations fell 17 percent. %.
DMGT said the duration and severity of the pandemic are unarmed despite vaccination programs, but said the board is confident the company’s package is well-positioned to withstand routine uncertainty.
