Last night, CD Projekt Red released the first major update for a a troubled open world shooter, Cyberpunk 2077. “Major” is a relative term. As long as it is more than previous updates, yesterday patch 1.1 focusing more on sustainability solutions than a comprehensive review. In fact, it may have even made the game worse – by introducing a bug that could be a game.

Patch 1.1 addresses an issue in the “Down on the Street” mission where Takemura would not call, thus preventing any progress in the mission. He will now call, apparently, but then I would not say a word. Part consumers say do not reload old saves or create new save files either.

there is at least one apparently workaround. First, try to call Judy before Call Takemura. When it does, hang up the line, then face side work. (The player who described this work got involved in a Delamain side question.) Stay 24 hours in the game and Takemura should score in – with conversation and all – letting go you move on in “Down on the Street. ”

Kotaku has reached out to Projekt Red CD for comments.

I’m playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X, where it performs better than it seems on last-gen consoles but no, as one of my roommates likes to remind me so often, and also on his high strings. However, I’ve run into some bites from day one. They’re usually lumps of a garden kind: NPCs floating in the air in ways they shouldn’t, or weapons refusing to reload even though I’ve been on an “X,” like, eight times thirteen to tap. Small potatoes.

The beast that missed me on the game got involved in the side quest “Love Stadium”, in which you meet a group of veterans, throwing back bad vodka photos as you are at bad frat party (“What’s this, rubbing alcohol?” V asks), and then engaging in a shooting contest. In one attempt, I was unable to pull out my gun – almost immediately DQ at shooting time. In another, I was, but all the veterans around me would destroy them and then start firing at me. That fixed too. I decided to launch the game so it would be in better condition.

“Stadium Love” is not listed among the twelve or so issues that were addressed yesterday‘s 1.1 patch. Contrary to my better judgment, after downloading the 16.5GB (!!!) update, I tried the issue again. I was able to fire my gun without question. I still got a bullet at. So, that is not perfect.

CDPR says yesterday’s update addresses an issue with the “M’ap Tann Pèlen” issue, where players could run into a roadblock trying to talk to the character Mr. Hands on the phone. I had no issue doing that today, but I did not try the question at all before downloading the 1.1 piece. Who knows if I might have hit a snag, say, three weeks ago.

Overall, after spending some time with the game last night, I can say that it feels pretty much the way it was before I put it down. Those on last-gen consoles may see more benefits. Right now, social media seems to be high with news outlets noticing the presence of the patch or players pointing out how thin the notes are. CDPR arsa this patch “aims for a number of stability improvements and germ correction” and “lays the foundation for the patches to come. ”Next to be paid in February, each recitation from December.

Ten days ago, CDPR released a video stating that the January major update would be released within the next ten days. YesterdayTable 1.1, in the most technical sense, touches on that mark. These are of course the updates that actually address some issues with the game. He also came ashore 5:00 pm ET (10:00 pm Warsaw time) on Friday. Do what you do.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 “Good” now, in the way that No Man’s Sky exploded its path to greatness? Not yet. But this is one small step in the right direction. I want to see what now.
